IBAKA CONNECT creation

                

IBAKA CONNECT was created by Activist Emmanuel Peter Obong on Tuesday 9th June, 2020. He met with the current Youths President of IBAKA Town that very morning immediately he had the vision for such a platform.

So, Comrade DANIEL OKON UDOMBO (the Youths President) asked him the purpose of his idea and how his idea will help benefits the Youths IBAKA and the current government. He the listen the objectives of his proposed idea and it was very good so the Youths President gave him an oral support then  since he didn't requested for any financial support to start the progression of his idea.

Activist, as popularly known started the IBAKA CONNECT as a Facebook chat group since his primary and secondary objectives is based on information transactions using the media that was why Facebook was the easiest platform for him to use and established his media idea.

Although, it was that easy for him to add up friends from Ibaka, but with the help of the following sons and daughters of IBAKA Town, the group grew to 300h in 2weeks:

* Christopher Felix. ( Face of IC )
* Jemimah Effah.  ( Chats Coordinator)
* Johnny Bassey Ntiah ( Mr. IC )
*  Gift onwineng             ( Mrs. IC )

Those peoples really assisted him in achieving the goals and today, the platform has grown with changes allover.
It now organized modeling pageantry with prizes to help keep the platform busy.
The news category are ready to start broadcasting meanwhile the website is set for blogging.

Congratulations to all the brains behind the success of this beautiful platform from IBAKA TOWN.

Akwa Ibom COVID-19 committee threatens to shut centres By  IBAKA CONNECT 05 July 2020   |   3:15 am A seven-day ultimatum has been issued to oil giant, ExxonMobil to comply with stipulated COVID-19 guidelines or risk having all its quarantine centres in Akwa Ibom State shut down. The threat was issued, yesterday, by the Chairman of Akwa Ibom State COVID-19 Management Committee and Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, while speaking with Government House pressmen in Uyo. The Chairman said it had been observed that ExxonMobil, in operating its quarantine centres, has not followed the AKSG/NCDC/WHO laid-down protocols for the effective and efficient running of quarantine centres. These breaches, he stated, are capable of endangering the lives of not just ExxonMobil staff, but also that of the people in the state. Ekuwem said the state Government would not overlook the breaches, as it could jeopardise the sustained and deliberate efforts of the Udom Emmanuel
